Adoptable Cats deserves better TLC

We have no idea what happened, but this evening when I got to the adoption center where we’ve been volunteering since 2008, all the water bowls were completely dry. After I added water, all the cats came to the water bowls and just kept on drinking for a long while. I have never seen cats this thirsty in my life. Our adoption center only has one volunteer visit per day. It scares me  to image how long these cats had been deprived of water. We are glad that Hunter (see him from the last post or click the tag “Hunter”) never have to deal with these anymore. But at the same time sad because we can’t adopt all the cats… All the cats at the adoption center are super nice and friendly. They deserve a really home!

Catsmodo’s Daily Cats – Hunter’s First Afternoon At Our Home

This afternoon we went to the shelter to do our weekly volunteering, and at the end of it, we put Hunter in the cage ready to go..

We first dropped him off at our vet to do a general checkup, just to make sure he is All OK.. Besides a little gum swelling, he is just fine. We understand it’ll be quite a stressful afternoon for him, but we are quite certain he’ll adjust at his new home in no time.

On the road, hunter seems to be in total shock, poor thing, everything will be better very soon!

After vet visit, we let Hunter out of the cage just a little to explore and test his reaction, but he would go back to his cage rather quickly. We’ll keep him in our restroom for the night to adjust.

We’ll update in the next few days of how he is adjusting to the new environment.

Rudy II is a sweetheart, but he constantly suffers from poop tangled tail, and he hates to be groomed…
